The political scenarios that currently exist in Venezuela and Colombia have divided these two sibling nations, at times almost to the point of war. These scenarios are fueled by cultural perceptions, political manipulation and ideologies, yet at the heart of these two cultures remains a bond that is
much stronger than the current political dystopia would lead one to believe.
In this collaboration, artists Carlos Andrade and Rafael Attias seek to reconcile and explore elements from both of their cultures. Using still and moving imagery as well as sound, they explore metaphors and symbolism, picking up fragments from childhood memories, imagining what life is currently like in both Colombia and Venezuela.
